PGT Patio Doors

Another respected leader in custom designed patio doors, PGT Custom Windows + Doors offers six French door models, all beautifully designed and meticulously crafted to satisfy the most critical client.

CLASSICVUE™ Aluminum Essential French Door

This pre-hung model comes in both single and double door models and employ heavy-duty hinges, allowing for smooth and easy operation. Because it is manufactured to accept industry-standard hardware, almost any handles and deadbolts can be installed, giving the client even more control over details. Their two-point security locks gives that extra sense of safety homeowners want for patio doors and for larger openings; and to take full advantage of the sunlight, sidelights can be added.

Clients have two standard glass options for these patio doors: single pane glass or tempered glass; owners can opt to upgrade to privacy glass (obscured view) or insulating glass. On top of clear glass, there are seven tints, including the obscured view, that allows homeowners to determine the intensity of light they wish to allow in their homes. The standard frame color for these patio doors is white; bronze is the other choice to consider.

CLASSICVUE MAX™ Aluminum Preferred French Door

The hinged frame is designed to surround a pane of glass reaching almost the full height of the patio door, while solidly supporting its weight and operating easily and smoothly. This model offers a three-point security lock system, trim-sets prepped for European-style hardware, and clients can opt for full or narrow jamb sidelights.

In addition to the options offered on the CLASSICVUE™ Aluminum Essential French Door, owners can choose from four different grid styles (applying between the glass or on exteriors and interiors, with either flat or raised looks) and can thermally enhance their glass with argon gas (for insulated glass only) or high-performance low-e to minimize the ultraviolet and infrared light that normally penetrates glass surfaces.

WINGUARD® Aluminum Essential French Door

This pre-hung, hinged (heavy duty, for easier operation) aluminum frame patio door also accommodates full-length glass panes, with either single or double doors. Owners can add sidelights if desired, and this model is also designed so industry-standard hardware installs easily and seamlessly. Standard glass options are impact-resistant laminated glass or tempered glass; again, seven tints are offered on top of clear glass, and clients can choose the same thermal enhancements as the CLASSICVUE MAX™ Aluminum Preferred French Door (argon gas for insulated glass or high-performance low-e).

ENERGYVUE® Aluminum Preferred French Door

Owners love the real wood look and feel they get from the solid cellular vinyl material in which these patio doors are constructed. The hinged frame (capable of holding full panes of glass) is secured with mechanically fastened corners for added strength and durability; speaking of security, their multi-point locking system employs an anti-lift device for the ultimate in safety. Designed using traditional panel joinery, it echoes the aesthetics and charm of classic wood doors, minus the maintenance and wear.

This model also employs a 4-9/16″ frame depth, a conventional measurement that fits right into most openings without excessive (and expensive) modifications. Insulating and tempered glass are the standard options, with the opportunity to upgrade to an impact-resistant grade and the two thermal enhancements, argon gas and high-performance low-e. With eight glass tints (clear, bronze, gray, green, azure blue, solar cool bronze, graylite II, and obscure textured), clients find enough options to create their own personalized look.

WINGUARD® Aluminum Preferred French Door

This aluminum-framed patio door delivers style, durability, and efficiency in one package. This design has been prepped to accept European-style hardware, with trim-sets already on hand for fast installation; included is a reliable three-point lock system that is secure and solid.
